Capturing a love story anchored in prayer—and pink


I have known Zac and Cameron for years! Zac is distantly related and so I've known him his whole life (and most of mine). Cameron I met at our church while serving in the youth ministry. When they reached out to me about taking their engagement photos, I jumped at the opportunity.


Their love absolutely radiates from their story, their smiles, and the way they treat each other. Radiant. That's exactly how I'd describe this couple whose engagement session I recently photographed at Taylors Mill and Downtown Greer, two places that hold deep meaning in their relationship. They're planning a Valentine's Day wedding at Southern Bleachery, and I can already tell it's going to be full of warmth, worship, and all things pink.

A Bumble connection guided by faith


They first met on Bumble, but it wasn't just the algorithm that brought them together. It was God and their shared love for Jesus, prayer, and their church community at Taylors First Baptist Church.


They haven't been shy about how they've built their relationship on a foundation of faith. They pray together daily, serve in their church, and the bride even leads worship—a role that's clearly a huge part of her identity. And listen, home girl can saaaaang! Jennifer Hudson would throw her shoe! (The Voice reference IYKYK)

Locations that mean something


They chose Taylors Mill and Downtown Greer for their engagement session location because that's where they spend most of their time as a couple. They go on dates in Greer, their church is just down the road from Taylors Mill, and they have deep connections in the area. As we walked around these locations, they pointed out each spot that had a story and I lifted my camera and captured their love story.

southern bleachery: The perfect venue


In the winter, they'll be tying the knot at Southern Bleachery, located right at Taylors Mill—which makes their engagement photos even more personal and full circle. The venue is a mix of industrial charm and open, airy beauty.

An all-pink celebration of love


Want to know my favorite detail of the wedding? The wedding will decorated with pink and glitter—from the florals and bridesmaids' dresses to the reception decor. Pink has always been Cameron's favorite color and she met a man who just wants to make her happy. This celebration will reflect her in every way. It's a little girl's dream come true! "She loves pink, and I love her," the groom said during the session, which basically melted my camera lens.

The most powerful part of their story isn't how they met or even where they're getting married—it's why. Their love is grounded in Christ. They serve together. They pray together. They're not just preparing for a wedding—they're preparing for a life of faith and service.

After the big day, they'll be heading off to Key West for their honeymooon—a well-earned break after planning a wedding, attending grad school while working full-time jobs, and pouring into their church. Sunshine, ocean views, and rest await.

Grateful to be part of their story


Photographing this couple's engagement session was more than just a job—it was a reminder of what matters most. Their kindness, joy, and Christ-centered love were evident in every frame. As they prepare for their Southern Bleachery wedding on Valentine's Day, surrounded by pink blooms and heartfelt worship, I already know it's going to be a day I'll never forget.
